Hello Week Begins!

Our Parent Advisory Group has teamed up with Madison Cares to bring a new campaign to our schools and community. Start With Hello Week is a national movement and we are excited to be able to bring it to Sugar schools Feb. 6-10.
The goal of the Start with Hello campaign is to encourage students (and adults) to reach out and connect with people, create a culture of social inclusion and to recognize the signs of isolation and loneliness in children, youth and adults.
The activities for the week are:

MONDAY-Learn to say “Hello” in a different language
TUESDAYDo a Random Act of Kindness.  Write it on a slip of paper from the office and we will display them. Encourage older kids to post them to their social media with #hellosugarcity or send to marnell@sugarsalem.com for a chance to win gift cards.
WEDNESDAY-Talk or sit by someone new or do something kind that you don’t usually do.
THURSDAY-Wear green and keep saying “hello“!  Take a picture and the school with the most green can win $100-The community votes on the MadisonCares Facebook page
FRIDAY-Dress Like your HERO.  NO face masks please! This is also the “no one eats alone” day.

Thank you for your support in all of these efforts! Together, we can make this community and our schools a kinder, safer place for all those who live in it!

Also, if you have a moment, check out the video Madison Cares put together from last years campaign.

Hope you have a great day!!!
