Potato Harvest will be changing this fall for students at the high school. Chester Bradshaw, the new superintendent, together with the board were contacted by local farmers to request a change to Potato Harvest. The change was made due to the dense smoke causing crop delays this year. The decision was made at school board meeting on September 5th in an effort to help our potato growers harvest their crop in a more timely manner. Potato Harvest for the high school will now have an additional week–the week of October 8th to the 12th.
These changes ONLY affect the high school–all other schools will follow the academic calendar. Teachers will still be required to attend on those days unless leave is taken. Students in dual-credit classes will still be required to attend class, and the PSAT will still be administered during the break. Contact Mrs. Hobbs or Mrs. Saunders if you have any questions about your dual-credit class or the PSAT.
