Kershaw STEM: Paper Roller Coasters!

Ever thought to yourself: “This would be better if it involved riding in a roller coaster?” If that’s for you, then Mrs. Dye’s class has your science project to learn about gravity, energy, friction, and acceleration. Mrs. Dye’s class, using only paper and tape, has designed a veritable theme park of roller coasters–all set to receive their passengers and send them on to the ride of their small, miniaturized lives. They used technology to research and record their findings and math to calculate length of track and height of their coaster.  Each team did a great job working together to create an amazing paper roller coaster!
