Students at Kershaw Intermediate are continuing to master the world of STEM–this time extending their mastery to states of matter. In Mrs. Daniels’ class students studied each state of matter–including the common-in-the-universe-but-not-so-common-on-Earth state of matter known as plasma!
Using a plasma ball, Mrs. Daniel’s class studied the properties of plasma and how the electricity conducts to light a lightbulb, in addition to how the electricity can go through the glass ball to a coin, and various other experiments with differing amounts of contact points and substances. The class also studied the heat transfer through the plasma ball items.
Keep on rolling, STEM students!
