Jeanette Schmitt is the prime example of what happens when solid work ethic and pride in your job come together. The result is awesome meals prepared for over 200 students every day. Mrs. Schmitt has been the kitchen manager at Sugar-Salem Junior High School since 2009 and has been part of our district’s food service program since 1996. Whether it’s working with students who help serve each day or her staff who work with her to create great lunches, Mrs. Schmitt shares her positive attitude and willingness to help. When asked for their impressions of Mrs. Schmitt, they describe her as “caring,” “hard working,” and “super helpful.” “She takes time to microwave my home lunch for me even when she is busy serving the other students.”
Never one to take a break, Mrs. Schmitt works every fall helping our farmers to get their crops harvested. She also enjoys camping and fishing with family and friends and anything John Deere.
