Purchase of Two New School Buses

Additional Information: To the Superintendent and School Board Members:
The Transportation Department of the Sugar-Salem School District is requesting the approval to proceed with the purchase of two full size school buses to be used for routes and activity runs within the District. With the problems of a few buses, one bus being totaled in a wreck, and one with a bad motor, it has been difficult to be able to accommodate all of the travel requests this year.
There are enough funds in the depreciation account to be able to purchase two buses.
