Additional Information: Mr. Stewart has been teaching at Sugar-Salem Junior High for 5 years. He teaches many different subjects here at the junior high, which include Science, Horticulture, Spanish, Health, and a Computers class. We appreciate Mr. Stewart’s hard work, his ability to connect with the students and his positive influence on many of the students at the Junior High. Mr. Stewart has had an impact on many students in his classes, many of the students express the followings things about him: Preston -- Mr. Stewart makes everything fun and is super smart. He can help you with all of your subjects. “I like him because he makes you get your stuff done in a fun way.” “He works well with students and is flexible with school work and is understanding.” “He lets us participate in object lessons instead of just reading from the book.” “He is very fun with all of us and makes school work easy for us to understand, if we have struggles with our school work he knows how to help us.” Thank you, Mr. Stewart, for making a difference!!

Additional Information: Cathy has been a bus driver for our district for over 20 years. She has been an outstanding driver, caring for the well being of the students and co-workers alike. The students lover her. shes always smiling and kind. She's always gone the extra mile, being on time. keeping her bus clean ,always doing anything extra that shes asked to do. She's one of the unsung hero's of our district that makes this such a special place to be a part of. These are some of our favorite qualities that describe our bus driver Cathy Harris: creates a safe environment, kind to kids of all ages, accommodating to parents, plays great music and appropriate video's, fun to be with, enjoys the holidays, and relates to the students on her bus. We have lived here for 21 years and in each of these situations she has been a phenomenal example of being a great bus driver. She is known throughout the district as being a wonderful person. We love her Kevin and Julie Lee and family

Additional Information: Mr. Dunn and the Board of Trustees, I would like to recommend that the counselors in the school district increase their contract from 5 extra days to 20 extra days each year. The counselors in our district are compensated on the same pay scale as a teacher but are required to hold a master's degree. Each of the counselors are taking out loans ranging from $25,000-$30,000 dollars. Each of our counselors are able to take positions outside of a school setting and earn nearly double their current compensation. The request would increase each counselors salary approximately $3,000.00 each. This will go a long way in helping them to repay their loans and keeping the good counselors that we have working and serving our students. The counselors are doing and accomplishing great things and making a difference in the lives of students. Thanks, Jared Jenks
