Teachers Make a Difference: Jamie Little

Sugar-Salem High School would like to recognize Jamie Little for the Sugar-Salem outstanding teacher award. Jamie is a CTE teacher and leader of the district FFA program. She teaches a wide variety of classes from welding to floral design and everything in between. Whenever she is given a challenge, she always tackles them with a “bring it on” attitude. Her positivity and kindness are infectious. She treats all students, staff, and parents with the utmost respect.
Jamie’s work ethic and dedication to her craft are second to none. Along with her fellow ag teacher she has taken the FFA program to new levels. She constantly looks for ways to provide more opportunities to her students. Not only does she find opportunities, but she then thinks outside of the box and creates a plan to make them happen. While many wish for things, Jamie makes the wishes happen through hard work and tenacity.
A few of her students shared the following:
“She is so dedicated to us as students; she spends so much time outside of school hours to take us on trips and conventions. When we go places, she is super patient and really fun!” Carter Moore
“She has a real passion for what she teaches, and it shows. She includes everyone and makes all of our projects, trips, and activities so much fun!” Hailey Robison
We are grateful to have Jamie Little as part of our Sugar-Salem team. We appreciate her and want to offer our congratulations for a well-earned teacher recognition award.
